Erica Keller is a licensed marriage and family therapist, a licensed mental health counselor, and a certified rehabilitation counselor practicing in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. She brings 11 years of clinical experience to her work and, before obtaining licensure, spent two years providing counseling as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern.
Erica works with children, teens, and adults on a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, transitional life stages, neuro-developmental disorders, couples work, and trauma. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida, where she also earned a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Her therapeutic approach is eclectic with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, combining practical strategies with collaborative exploration. Erica aims to create a safe session environment, empower clients, and help reframe unhelpful thinking. She approaches each person as the expert on their own life and offers supportive guidance throughout the therapeutic process.
Erica generally maintains availability during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Responses may be delayed over the weekend, and she thanks prospective clients for their understanding as they take the first step toward improving their mental health.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the format that works best for them, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and to maintain consistent care.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals and therapists, and if a different fit is desired it is possible to switch providers. For many people seeking support with everyday mental health concerns, online therapy offers a practical and effective option.
