Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! My name is Emily Myers and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor through the state of Ohio. I have over 14 years in the counseling profession and over 20 years of work experience in customer service or a helping occupation. I graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. I taught preschool for a few years and decided to go back for my Master’s in Community Counseling from the same university. I graduated in 2009 summa cum laude. Since then, I have held a variety of positions in the counseling field including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, children and family centered jobs. I tend to have an eclectic approach to counseling based on what the client is wanting from the services. I use a lot of client centered, solution focused, and cognitive behavioral techniques. My sessions are always client driven with what the client is wanting to discuss or work on at that time. I’m excited to have this opportunity to work with you!

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can produce meaningful results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that works best for them, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to connect in the way that feels most comfortable.
Licensed professionals provide care through these remote formats, and clients have the option to change therapists if they prefer a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible and practical way to address everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
