Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
The purpose of therapy, as I have learned to see it, is to help someone become more objective about the way they see themselves and the world. How? by understanding where they end and someone else begins. Most of us think that what we think is objective, yet life has not provided the results we hoped for, and we are unable to figure out why. It is the goal of treatment to show you how to listen to yourself more clearly with the intent of freeing you to experience your life in a more positive way.

Edward Sukenick sees the purpose of therapy as helping a person gain greater objectivity about how they view themselves and the world around them.
He works to clarify where one person ends and another begins, because understanding those boundaries can change how people interpret their experiences and relationships.
Many assume their perceptions are purely objective, even when life’s outcomes do not match their expectations and the reasons remain unclear. Through treatment he aims to help clients listen to their own experience more clearly, with the goal of freeing them to live in a more positive way.
Edward is a licensed clinical social worker in New York, practicing with the qualifications of an LCSW.
