Donna Thompson-Lisiecki brings two decades of clinical experience to her work as a licensed professional counselor in Georgia. She is happily married, the mother of two, a caretaker of several fur companions, and she became a grandmother in December of 2021. Outside of practice she enjoys gardening, making art, listening to music, traveling, and is currently involved in renovating a 1972 Avion.
For the past 20 years she has been committed to helping others grow into the best versions of themselves. As a practitioner of Reality Therapy, Donna expects clients to engage actively in the work - change is not easy, and it requires effort, persistence, and motivation. She has provided mental health therapy for individuals and groups, with both adults and children, across a range of settings.
Clients can expect a non-judgmental, supportive clinician focused on teaching practical tools and skills to foster inner peace and greater joy. Donna’s single rule for therapy is simple - be 100% honest. She recognizes that honesty can feel daunting, and she emphasizes its importance, particularly when working in a virtual format.
Donna looks forward to working with new clients. She encourages people to be kind to themselves and others while pursuing change and wishes them well on their journey toward a renewed sense of self.
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or coping with life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can choose the mode of connection that fits their preferences and schedule, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it simpler to integrate therapy into a busy life and maintain consistent care.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if a different fit is desired, clients can switch therapists at any time. For many people, virtual sessions offer a practical and effective route to access support and progress toward their goals.
