Donald Rincon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Colorado with 17 years of clinical experience. He earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in 2005 and has worked with adults and families across a range of settings, including residential treatment centers, hospital emergency rooms, and in-home family therapy.
He has experience addressing many concerns, such as trauma and abuse, stress and anxiety, anger management, depression, low self-esteem, addictions, relationship and family conflicts, grief and loss, intimacy-related and eating disorders, sleep problems, parenting challenges, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, and issues affecting LGBT clients. His background includes both individual and family work, which supports flexibility in meeting varied needs.
Donald’s counseling style is open, honest, and experiential. He approaches therapy with compassion and a strengths-based mindset, drawing on each person’s resources and, when appropriate, creativity and humor to navigate difficult moments. He believes there is not a single solution for every problem and adapts his methods accordingly.
His clinical approach integrates multiple modalities, including trauma-focused techniques, cognitive behavioral strategies, and narrative therapy, with treatment plans tailored to each client’s goals and circumstances. If someone is ready to reach out and feels he may be a good fit, he invites them to make contact to begin the work together.
