Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am family and adolescent therapist licensed in Michigan. I have worked with clients with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, motivation, organizational challenges, family and relationship issues. I have also worked with clients seeking to resolve spiritual concerns.
My style of therapy is like a directed, interactive conversation. I strive to never push harder than the client can handle in a non-judgmental, caring environment. I would describe my therapeutic style as eclectic and these are some of the styles I have borrowed from that help me serve my clients; cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, brief therapy, and humanistic styles.
I applaud anyone seeking therapy, because it takes courage. I believe that it is a privilege to be able to support anyone that has made that decision. I look forward to assisting in that next step where ever that journey that takes you.

Derrick Collins is a family and adolescent therapist who combines nearly three decades of experience with a warm, client-centered approach. Based in Georgia and licensed to practice counseling in both Georgia and Michigan, he has worked with people facing depression, anxiety, low motivation, organizational difficulties, family and relationship struggles, and spiritual concerns.
His sessions are designed as directed, interactive conversations that move at a pace each person can tolerate. He aims to create a caring, non-judgmental space and avoids pushing clients beyond what they can manage.
Derrick uses an eclectic mix of therapeutic techniques drawn from cognitive-behavioral methods, solution-focused work, brief therapy, and humanistic approaches. He selects tools and interventions that best fit each client’s situation rather than following a single model.
He respects the courage it takes to seek help and considers it a privilege to support someone who has made that choice. Derrick looks forward to assisting clients as they take the next step in their journeys.
Many people ask whether remote therapy really helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and adjusting to life changes, research and clinical practice indicate that online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility – clients can meet with a therapist in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to choose the mode of communication that feels most comfortable.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they prefer a different fit. Online therapy offers a practical, accessible way to address common mental health and life challenges while maintaining the structure and support of regular therapeutic work.
