Denise Kerr is an integrative psychotherapist based in the United Kingdom with 15 years of professional experience. She approaches each person as an individual and shapes the therapeutic relationship around their particular needs, offering a supportive environment where clients can explore their concerns and make progress with their emotional wellbeing.
She holds a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University in London and is a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist - combining a range of therapeutic tools and techniques so the approach fits each client rather than following a single model.
Her interest in mental health began while studying psychology at the University of Westminster and was further developed through training in counselling and listening skills at WPF Therapy and a Foundation in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s University. She has also worked with the charity Mind, gaining experience as a Centre Worker and a Befriender.
Denise works with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns and spiritual matters. Her practice also includes support for bereavement, personal development and coaching, and she works with family issues, trauma and abuse, parenting, anger and career-related matters. She offers therapy informed by her perspective as a female, Christian therapist and as a therapist of color.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most situations.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can choose the way of connecting that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, online therapy offers a practical and effective way to access support for everyday mental health concerns.
