Dr. Deborah Gipple welcomes individuals who have taken the important step of reaching out for support and information. She approaches counseling as a journey, meeting each person where they are mentally and emotionally and accompanying them through a process of self-discovery. She draws on her skills to help on the more difficult stretches of that journey and emphasizes encouragement, affirmation, and celebration of progress while providing a space that is accepting and non-judgmental.
Dr. Gipple holds a Ph.D. in Mental Health Counseling and is licensed to practice as a clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina. She also has a sub-specialization in marriage and family therapy and brings 23 years of counseling experience working with children, teens, and adults. Her work integrates Adlerian and solution-focused ideas with cognitive behavioral techniques and a traumagenic approach.
She has provided therapy for a wide range of concerns, including childhood abuse and trauma resolution, alcohol use questions, codependency, grief and loss, adult attention differences, stressful life transitions, verbal aggression and conflict resolution, decision making, parenting skills, stressful family environments, and communication difficulties. She has also helped clients address depression and anxiety that often accompany these issues.
Her current availability is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with appointments beginning at 11:15 a.m., and on Wednesdays and Thursdays sessions available through 5:30 p.m. This schedule may change if she needs to be offline or out of the office.
