David Yadush is a licensed professional counselor who recently relocated from rural Pennsylvania to California. He holds a Master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Drama Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, and he is licensed to practice counseling in both Pennsylvania and California.
He sometimes finds it challenging to talk about himself and intentionally uses that experience to model the value of self-reflection. Integrity and hope are central to his work - he strives to bring his best self to each session and to help clients kindle the spark of hope that can lead to meaningful change.
David’s approach is welcoming and non-judgmental, whether someone is new to therapy or seeking a fresh perspective. He draws on positive practices that encourage people to leverage their strengths and creativity to meet their goals, working at each person’s pace while supporting growth and self-worth.
His practice centers on a person-centered philosophy and is trauma-informed and culturally aware, so therapy is shaped around each individual’s experiences and needs. Experience providing services in clients’ homes has strengthened his flexibility across different therapeutic styles.
David integrates techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused methods, psychiatric rehabilitation, and reality-based approaches to give clients practical tools for managing stress, challenging negative self-beliefs, and moving toward a healthier, happier life. His professional experiences continue to inform his commitment to mental health equity and integrity.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns like stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy is generally comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
A major advantage is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide care through these formats, and clients may switch therapists at any time if they want a different fit. For many individuals, online therapy offers a practical and accessible path to pursuing mental health support.
