Darice Dodd is a fully licensed professional counselor practicing in Georgia and Missouri with 17 years of experience working in the mental health and substance abuse and addictions field. She has provided counseling across a wide range of concerns and settings, supporting individuals, children and adolescents, couples, and families.
She holds board certification as a National Certified Counselor, a credential awarded by the National Board for Certified Counselors, and she is a licensed professional counselor supervisor. Darice completed both a Master of Science in Professional Counseling and an Educational Specialist degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Georgia State University, earning these degrees simultaneously.
Her clinical experience includes work with depression, anxiety, relationship and intimacy difficulties, parenting challenges, ADHD, grief and loss, anger management, trauma and abuse, and addictions. She has also supported clients facing career issues and major life transitions.
Darice uses an eclectic approach, drawing on cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, person-centered, family systems, and rational-emotive methods to create individualized treatment plans. She emphasizes a strength-based, positive, and affirming perspective, and strives to offer a supportive, nonjudgmental, and empathic therapeutic environment without relying on stigmatizing labels.
Seeking a more fulfilling and happier life requires courage, and Darice is available to support and empower people who are ready to take that first step. She looks forward to working with new clients.
