Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! Thank you for taking a few minutes to learn more about me! My name is Dani and I’ve been working in the substance use and behavioral health fields for thirteen years. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Capella University. I am an independently licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Minnesota as well as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have worked primarily in the non-profit sector but, have worked directly with corrections, court, and probation clients during that time as well. Although I have worked with adolescents, my primary focus has been adult clientele. I have additional training in grief counseling and working with individuals that have experienced trauma.
The majority of my experience has been with those that have concerns with both substance abuse and mental health. This allows me to help with not only mental health concerns but, substance abuse issues and how the two intertwine. I have worked in a small community and due to this, have learned the importance of protecting confidentiality and the benefits of engaging in online counseling to ensure you have an objective opinion.
Throughout my career I have subscribed to the idea of cognitive behavioral therapy as I like the very involved, practical approach to looking at out problems and concerns and changing the patterns of thinking that keep us from moving past these things to where we want to be. Once we learn our goals, cognitive behavioral therapy approaches help us to reach them in practical terms.
I do believe that you should be able to direct what you want out of therapy and what you want to accomplish so, we will work together in order to make the changes you are looking to implement and set reachable goals to get there.
I am looking forward to working with you!

Danielle (Dani) Spolarich is a licensed counselor in Minnesota with sixteen years of experience in the substance use and behavioral health fields. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Capella University. Dani is independently licensed to practice professional counseling in Minnesota and is also credentialed as an alcohol and drug counselor.
Her career has focused largely on adult clients, although she has experience working with adolescents as well. Much of her work has been in the non-profit sector, and she has also provided services for people involved with corrections, court, and probation. Over the years she has developed additional training in grief counseling and in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma.
Danielle has extensive experience helping people who face both substance use and mental health concerns, which allows her to address how those challenges interact. She favors cognitive behavioral therapy because of its practical, hands-on approach to identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and building concrete skills to reach identified goals. Dani believes clients should help direct their therapy, and she partners with each person to set realistic, achievable steps toward the changes they want to make.
Having worked in a small community, she appreciates the importance of protecting client privacy and recognizes the advantages that online counseling can offer when an objective perspective is helpful. She looks forward to supporting individuals as they work toward recovery and healthier patterns of living.
For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. This makes virtual care a valid option for people seeking support for these issues.
One of the main benefits is convenience – people can connect with a therapist in the format that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to fit counseling into a busy schedule and to maintain consistent progress.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and clients have the option to change therapists if they want a different fit. For many individuals, virtual sessions offer a practical, accessible way to work on goals and develop new coping skills with a trained therapist.
