About

EMDR Certified & Marriage and Family Therapist based out of Southwest Oklahoma. I have worked in the mental health field for over 9 years. Graduating from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy.

My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration, ensuring that you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in your life.

Additionally, I served 20 years in the US Marines, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 2012. I have a no-nonsense approach to therapy, that being said, I fully believe an essential element to any therapeutic relationship starts with your goals as the client. I will strive to create a relationship where you feel safe and comfortable to share your feelings without fear of judgement. As your therapist, I will encourage, provide insight, and at times even challenge you in your identified areas. My approach will combine solution- focused, cognitive behavior therapy; also eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) or trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy (TFCBT) when necessary.

I am here to support and empower you to your desired goals.

I look forward to work with you!

She earned a Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy from Liberty University and is licensed to practice in Oklahoma as a marriage and family therapist (OK LMFT 1350).

Her therapeutic style balances empathy, respect, and collaboration with a direct, no-nonsense attitude rooted in her 20 years of service in the United States Marines, from which she retired as a Master Sergeant in 2012. Dana places the client’s goals at the center of the work and aims to build a relationship where people feel safe and comfortable sharing their feelings without fear of judgment.

She helps individuals and families address relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, parenting concerns, self-esteem struggles, stress and anxiety, grief, intimacy-related problems, anger management, depression, and coping with life changes. Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.

One major advantage is flexibility – you can connect in the way that fits your routine and comfort level, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to keep therapy consistent and integrate it into a busy life.

Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if someone does not feel like the right fit, it is possible to switch to a different therapist at any time. For many people facing everyday mental health challenges, online therapy provides an accessible, effective option for getting support.
