Dana Hall offers skilled, compassionate care for people facing anxiety, depression, relationship strain, trauma, and a wide range of life challenges. With two decades of experience in education and mental health, she helps clients address root causes, build practical coping tools, and reclaim a greater sense of balance.
She is a licensed clinical professional counselor in Illinois, holding the IL LCPC 180007329 credential, and is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through the International Association of Trauma Professionals. Prior to private practice she worked at several leading therapeutic treatment facilities and served as a crisis management specialist, professional consultant, educator, and senior supervising therapist.
Dana creates a nonjudgmental space grounded in sensitivity, respect, and warmth. She values the therapeutic relationship as a central catalyst for meaningful, lasting change and works to ensure clients feel safe enough to share their stories and explore difficult emotions.
Her clinical approach blends Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and she offers a fully integrated, holistic, strength-based style that emphasizes empathy, transparency, and long-term sustainability. Dana developed an individualized DBT program to teach skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance tailored to each person’s needs.
She works with individuals on stress, anxiety, relationship and family conflicts, trauma and abuse, depression, addictions, grief, intimacy-related and eating disorders, sleep difficulties, parenting challenges, anger management, self-esteem, career setbacks, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, coaching needs, compassion fatigue, and ADHD. Dana follows standards of care set by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and welcomes LGBTQ clients. She is also affiliated with the Illinois Association of Trauma Therapists and maintains certification and training in trauma treatment and DBT.
Reaching out for help takes strength; Dana supports clients in starting where they are and moving toward the life they want to build.
