Courtney Hendrickson is a Florida-based therapist and a FL LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), license number SW15075. She brings eight years of professional therapy experience and more than 20 years working in the social work field.
She works with people facing stress and anxiety, family conflict, trauma and abuse, motivation difficulties, low self-esteem and confidence concerns, and depression. Over the course of her career she has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds and frequently returns to supporting teens and young adults as they find their voice and direction.
Courtney adopts a strengths-focused approach, recognizing that each person is the expert on their own story and already holds resources to overcome challenges. She helps clients identify and use those strengths, offering support and encouragement while treating the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative team effort - she acts as a co-pilot as clients take steps toward change and healing.
She is certified in the High-Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) model and is also a certified HFW trainer. Courtney finds the HFW model particularly effective for helping clients set and reach goals and for creating a team-based approach that supports parents and children working toward individual and shared family outcomes.
Her work with youth and survivors of domestic and teen violence has been recognized with a Cooperman-Bogue Award from the Juvenile Welfare Board and the Pinellas County Domestic Violence Task Force Leadership Award. She looks forward to meeting prospective clients and helping them create clear goals for the future.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, research and practice indicate that online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care.
A major benefit of remote therapy is flexibility. Individuals can choose the format that fits their schedule and comfort level - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - making it easier to maintain continuity of care alongside daily responsibilities.
Licensed professionals deliver online therapy, and clients may change therapists if they prefer a different fit. This approach makes accessing therapeutic support more adaptable while preserving the same professional standards you would expect from in-person services.
