Cody Granda works with people who find themselves caught in all-or-nothing thinking - swinging from all in to all out, from very high to very low, and noticing how those extremes affect relationships and inner peace. Cody helps clients identify patterns that show up as chaotic relationships, work stress, low self-esteem, negative body image, unusual eating habits, or rigid self-imposed rules, and supports them in finding greater balance and authentic living.
Cody aims to help clients reclaim a sense of agency and confidence so they can make choices that fit their values. While many seek help during crisis, Cody also emphasizes strengths, gratitude, humor, and hope as important parts of therapeutic work that complement the effort of change.
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Colorado and Minnesota, Cody brings eight years of clinical experience focused on relationship and interpersonal concerns. Cody holds a master’s degree in Human Services with a specialization in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Capella University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Cody’s training includes certification as an Expert Level Life Coach and specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Cody also specializes in eating disorder treatment and uses CBT-E techniques to address eating disorder behaviors and their related thoughts and body image concerns. As a certified instructor with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH), Cody can incorporate animal-assisted therapy using horses to offer real-time feedback on emotions, assertiveness, and relationships.
Cody has provided care across outpatient settings as well as intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential programs, and works with concerns such as stress, anxiety, eating disorders, self-esteem, life changes, addictions, LGBTQ+ issues, relationship and family conflicts, depression, and compassion fatigue.
