Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am registered in the UK and am an integrative counsellor and health coach. We will work together to build a warm, safe and confidential space for you to address your present concerns.
Through private practice and my experience of working in schools and for charitable organisations I have experience of working with and not limited to: anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, family separation, grief, loss, bullying, refugee status, the impact of the menstrual cycle on mental health, agoraphobia, work stress, self-harm and low self-esteem, including that stemming from the impact of social media and online platforms.
I have a qualification in Lifestyle Medicine so that together we can take a holistic approach to your health if this is something you are interested in, with support available for sleep, nutrition and physical activity.
If you suffer with short term or chronic insomnia I provide a 4-session structured model of counselling called CBT-I. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia is the NHS and American College of Physicians recommended treatment for insomnia, whether it stems from stressors at work to the perimenopause. It can improve the time taken to fall asleep, overall sleep and feeling rested the next day. Cognitive, behavioural and psychoeducation interventions are utilised alongside training you to utilise relaxation techniques.
I am also able to offer progressive muscle relaxation therapy to help reduce stress, tension, insomnia and pain such as migraines.
I am a registered member of BACP and follow their procedures regarding supervision, professional development, complaints, and their ethical framework to ensure that safety and welfare are embedded in my practice.
I look forward to hearing from you.
