Clair Fulton is a qualified and registered therapist based in the United Kingdom. She aims to create a safe, supportive space where people can explore and process their thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement.
Clair works from the belief that each person is the expert on themselves and uses her skills to support clients in resolving difficulties. As an integrative therapist she adapts her approach to suit individual needs so clients can get the most from therapy.
She is qualified and registered to work with both adults and children and young people, and has substantial experience working face-to-face and remotely via video calls, telephone and live chat.
Clair currently sees adult clients as a self-employed practitioner and has experience with a broad range of issues. For several years she has also worked for a local authority as a Counsellor in Education and Early Intervention, supporting 11–25 year olds in school settings, in central therapy rooms and online. In addition, she is a Counselling Tutor at a Higher Education College delivering training to trainee counsellors.
Her background includes several years supporting children and young people in residential and foster care, care leavers, and staff working in the health and social care sector. She is competent in supporting those who have experienced early life trauma, attachment disorders, and behavioural and learning difficulties. Clair also works with adult students, people in the LGBTQIA+ community and those experiencing grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and significant life changes, and has recently completed training to support people in the skateboarding community.
Clair considers it a privilege to be part of someone’s journey towards change and growth. She recognises the courage it takes to seek help and is available to support people through that process. If she seems like a good match, Clair invites contact to discuss how they might work together to help achieve the client’s goals.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating significant life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - people can connect in the way that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Sessions are delivered by licensed professionals, and if a different therapeutic match is needed it is possible to switch to another therapist. Online therapy offers an accessible option for many who are looking for support with everyday mental health concerns.
