Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Christy Damrath and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. I earned my BSW and MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University. Since 2012 I have worked with adult clients experiencing mental illnesses, first in a community based setting and then in an outpatient setting. I have worked with clients experiencing Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Grief and Loss, ADD/ADHD, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I work to build a genuine rapport with clients from the beginning of the first session. I enjoy listening to clients, asking questions, and helping clients identify their goals and work towards reaching their potential. During sessions, I typically use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness approaches to assist clients with processing their thoughts and feelings and to practice the use of healthy coping skills. I look forward to meeting you and working together with you soon.

Many people wonder whether remote therapy can actually help. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A key benefit is flexibility. People can connect with their therapist in the way that feels most comfortable, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to fit regular sessions into a busy life.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and clients may switch to a different provider at any time if they feel a different fit would be better. Online therapy offers an adaptable option for accessing professional support when addressing common mental health and life concerns.
