Cherie Felzer frames life as an ongoing journey of coming home to oneself and reconnecting with the soul. She invites people to return to that inner ground through somatic awareness and movement.
She has spent more than 20 years engaged in conscious personal growth, with over 15 years of dance and movement meditation as a central spiritual practice. Cherie brings 11 years of clinical experience to her therapeutic work and is a licensed marriage and family therapist in both California and Hawaii.
In 2007 she moved to the Bay Area to pursue graduate studies in somatic counseling psychology and to complete licensure as a marriage and family therapist. Since that time she has deepened her relationship with movement and applied somatic approaches across varied settings, including work with elders living with dementia, business and law students, women in recovery, war veterans, rites of passage with youth, and children in nature.
Those experiences taught her how to be present with stuckness, struggle, and major life transitions. Her personal journey and professional training are woven together to form a distinct somatic practice that supports exploration of healing, resilience, and growth.
Cherie offers a calm, steady presence and a sense of reverence and joy for life, inviting and supporting people to move through struggle and chaos. She guides clients to listen to their bodies and to reconnect with themselves, others, and the earth so they can find more lightness, freedom, and aliveness and live with greater integrity and authenticity.
She offers her experience and wisdom as a companion on the healing path, believing that individuals hold the map and that she can help them read it as they move forward.
