Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, My name is Chase Longnaker and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Kentucky. I am an experienced clinical professional with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry. Some of my skill sets include leadership, provision of therapeutic services and mental health/ behavioral assessments to individuals and families experiencing PTSD, Major Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Suicide, Self-Harm, and Oppositional Defiance Disorder related symptoms. Crisis management and safety plan development, detailed treatment plan development, and organizational/ professional documentation skills in keeping detailed, confidential client records.
As a LMFT professional I have had the opportunity to counsel a diverse population of clients economically, geographically, and culturally. My primary focus has been working with children (ages 7 to 11), adolescents (ages 12-17), and young adults (ages 18+). In addition to working with these age groups I also have clinical experience working with adults, marital couples, and families. Recently I obtained my CFRC Certification through Academy Hour. This certification has prepared me to work with first responder individuals (police, fire fighters, EMT, and others), their families, and their communities in the state of Kentucky. As a mental health professional, one of my primary goals is to utilize empathetic, genuine, and evidence based counseling approaches to help provide impactful changes in individuals and families. My primary areas of clinical modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy , Solutions Focused Therapy, Bowenian Family Therapy, and Basic Level EMDR Therapy.
The clinical experience that I have obtained as a therapist has taught me that people are resilient and under the right circumstances and stressors have the desire and drive to change for the better. This resiliency and drive in people is where I find true passion and inspiration to serve as a mental health professional. Having the opportunity to guide clients to breakthrough moments is what makes me passionate about my job. This same passion is what also drives me to play a part in helping individuals and families process the past, heal in the present, and move towards a positive and meaningful future. I hope that this information provides you with a little insight into who I am on both a professional and personal level. Thank you, and I look forward to the opportunity to help both you and your family on your therapeutic journey.
