Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, my name is Chip Staats, I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist with a Masters of Family Therapy from Friends University in Wichita, KS. I have been in private practice in Kansas now for seven years.
I became a therapist for one simple reason: I love people! For me, it is not a job, but a calling. Our mission as therapists/counselors/helpers and healers is to come along side those who have fallen, and help them up; to walk with them on their journey and hopefully assist them by giving insight and understanding of their pasts and presents which will provide them hope for their futures. It is my belief that therapy is a collaborative effort, where both my clients and I work together in forming realistic treatment plans, complete with attainable goals.
I look forward to working with you and your family!

Charles Staats is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist who holds a Master of Family Therapy from Friends University in Wichita, KS. He practices in Kansas and works in private practice, bringing three years of clinical experience to his work with individuals and families.
Charles became a therapist because he enjoys supporting people through difficult seasons of life and views this work as a calling rather than merely a job. He approaches therapy as a collaborative process, partnering with clients to develop realistic treatment plans and attainable goals that draw on insight from both past and present circumstances to create hope for the future.
In Kansas he is licensed as a clinical marriage and family therapist (license LCMFT 2744), and he aims to offer an approachable, compassionate style that complements practical interventions tailored to each client and family.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life changes – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and practice have shown that, for these issues, remote care often produces comparable outcomes to face-to-face treatment.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can connect with therapists in whatever format works best for them – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – making it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to access support from home.
Each therapist offering online services is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be helpful. This approach makes it simpler to find the right therapeutic match while maintaining the same standards of professional care.
