Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi and welcome! My name is Chami (Chay-me) Kane, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Mississippi and Tennessee. I have been working with families, individuals, and kids for the last twenty years, and I have a masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Specialist in Counseling Education. I have worked in a variety of settings including private practice, schools, and mental health agencies.
I have been married to my husband, Jon, for twenty years, and we have two miracle daughters, one in middle school and one in elementary. We also have two fur babies, Cookie and Cocoa. I have personally struggled for five years with infertility and battled cancer twice, and I believe that our trials can sharpen us and surprise us with blessings we did not expect. I believe my battles helped me become a better counselor and empathize with and care for those who are hurting on a different level than before.
My counseling style is warm and encouraging and a place where you can share hard things and still feel accepted. I use a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioral, rational emotive, and solution-focused, but it is tailored to meet your needs and help accomplish your goals for therapy.
You have already done one of the hardest things, which is taking that first step and reaching out! I look forward to learning more about you and walking through this together.

Many people wonder whether online therapy makes a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions, research and practice indicate that remote counseling can be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One of the clearest benefits is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their life and comfort level, whether that means video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options helps therapy fit into busy schedules and different home situations.
Licensed professionals provide online services, and if a different therapeutic match is preferred, clients can switch therapists. Overall, online therapy offers an accessible way to address many common mental health and relationship concerns while accommodating different needs and routines.
