Cathy Foster is a Licensed Professional Counselor and an LPC Board Qualified Supervisor who is also nationally board certified in both mental health counseling and school counseling. She holds a Master of Science and practices as a licensed counselor in Mississippi (LPC 1341).
She applies a variety of psychological approaches - including cognitive, Adlerian, behavioral, systemic, and solution-focused therapies - to help people set clear goals and make steady progress toward wellness and personal growth.
With 14 years of experience in mental health settings, Cathy has worked with children, adolescents, and adults. Her practice centers on helping individuals and families gain perspective, promote healing, and move toward a greater sense of wholeness.
Cathy supports exploration of the issues that leave people feeling stuck, fearful, or hopeless. Life includes many ups and downs, and obstacles such as divorce, family conflict, depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, or other challenges can limit someone’s ability to thrive. Balance across mental, physical, and spiritual health is often an important part of reclaiming wellbeing.
She focuses on reframing situations, identifying strengths, and connecting clients with practical strategies and resources that restore hope and encourage growth. Cathy invites individuals and families to begin a thoughtful, guided journey toward renewed resilience and wholeness.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes - online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main advantages is flexibility. People can connect in the way that fits their life and comfort level, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to schedule consistent care and integrate therapy into daily routines.
Therapy provided online is delivered by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they want a different fit. For many individuals, online care offers an accessible, convenient path to address everyday mental health and relationship concerns while maintaining the same professional standards as other forms of therapy.
