Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Carole LaFreniere, and I work with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, and those who have experienced trauma and sexual assault. I have my Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, and hold certifications as a Trauma Professional, Grief Therapist and as a Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider. I have training in EMDR as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy. I have worked in the mental health field for the last 6 years, both with inpatient psychiatric patients and individual patients in the community.
I consider the client/therapist relationship to be the most important piece in therapy. I believe in a collaborative approach to setting goals and working on problems with an eye to finding solutions. My approach in therapy combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I take a strengths approach and consider the whole person in the environment they are in. Since everyone is an individual, I will work with you to design a personalized treatment plan to meet your goals. I am non-judgmental, empathetic and incorporate a sense of humor into our session.
If your ready to take the first steps toward making changes, i would love to help you achieve those changes.
I take appointments in the evenings and weekends to accommodate working adults.

Many people wonder whether virtual therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person treatment.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that works best for them, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and maintain continuity of care.
Therapists who provide online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch to a different therapist at any time if they want a different fit. For many adults seeking accessible, evidence-based support, online therapy can be a practical and effective way to pursue their goals.
