Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi there! My name is Carman Cunningham and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LiSW-S) in the state of Ohio.
Finding the right therapist is not easy, but it is one of the most important choices you will make in your therapeutic journey. My clients often say they feel a sense of connection and trust when working with me. Through developing a trusting relationship and safe environment we will be able to genuinely explore the issues that are coming up for you. I will provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment for mindful exploration of your thoughts and feelings that may be influencing your response to events and others in your environment. Our sessions will include processing life events, exploring thought patterns, and learning tools to increase awareness of your own needs, and healthy ways to meet those needs.
I love working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I practice compassion, empathy and unconditional positive regard. I understand that mental illness does not take into account your age, finances, religious beliefs, socioeconomic status, race, culture, gender, etc. My goal is for you to feel safe, comfortable and understood throughout the therapeutic process.
My work is driven by the idea that individuals can lead a healthy productive, satisfying life. I am passionate about helping clients discover what it is you need in the present moment to move forward and bring peace and happiness into their lives. I enjoy working with adults, caregivers (including medical staff/first responders), and children. I provide services in the areas of; depression, anxiety, relationship issues, phase of life problems, family conflict, self-esteem, vocational stress, child/adult trauma, addiction, adjustment issues, anger issues, and parenting (including foster care/adoption and fertility issues). I work with individuals and couples (straight and LGBTQ). I incorporate different modality of therapy to help you achieve your goals and outcomes.
Please know you do not have to do this alone. Sometimes we all need a little assistance with navigating life’s issues. I am here to help you find your journey to wellness and growth. Remember, every day is a good day to spend time caring for yourself. Being vulnerable is hard, but in the right setting, vulnerability is the catalyst for real and lasting change. If you have been struggling and realize what you’ve been doing is not working, please know I am here to support and empower change.
I look forward to walking side-by-side as you start on your journey of exploration and healing.

Many people ask whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care.
A major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility helps make therapy easier to fit into busy schedules and varied lifestyles.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they decide a different fit would work better. For many people, online delivery offers a practical and effective route to getting consistent therapeutic support.
