Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi my name is Carilyn Rego, but I go by Carrie. I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maryland who has been working in the mental health field for 15 years. I have my MSW from Monmouth University and have worked in a variety of different settings and in different states. I have worked in therapy settings with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use, PTSD, DID, and schizophrenia.
I consider my theoretical approach to be eclectic, since no two people have the same needs. I believe in giving clients the time, space, and resources they need to discover their own path to healing. I start with a person-centered approach to help clients identify their goals and then work from there to determine if a more specific type of therapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is appropriate.
I have experience working with clients from all types of backgrounds and belief systems, and I pride myself in maintaining a non-judgemental atmosphere. I have specific experience and training in working with LGBTQ clients, including in supporting transgender individuals in their own unique journeys. Another area in which I have significant professional and person experience is in working with survivors of suicide.
I firmly believe that every person can live their best life given the right tools and support! It is the job of a good therapist to help each client see that potential in themselves and achieve their goals! Together, we can do this!

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life changes, research and clinical practice indicate that remote therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the mode that fits their needs, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to keep therapy consistent alongside work, family, and other obligations.
Sessions are delivered by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they would prefer a different fit. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, practical way to pursue their goals and support mental health progress.
