Brett Lieberman is a licensed marriage and family therapist with 14 years of experience who practices from Florida and centers his work on helping people move forward in their lives.
He earned his master’s degree in 2009 from Capella University and favors a person-centered approach – believing that each person is the expert in their own life. Brett’s role is to support clients as they identify goals and make healthier choices rather than prescribing what they should do.
He guides clients from where they are now toward the place they hope to be, working collaboratively to address challenges and build a more satisfying life. Conversations in sessions are kept between the client and therapist except where disclosure is required by law.
Brett holds professional marriage and family therapy licenses in Florida and North Carolina; his licensing information is on file with the respective state boards (FL LMFT MT2766, NC LMFT 20280).
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care for most people.
One of the main benefits is convenience. Clients can choose the mode of connection that works best for them – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists who provide online services are licensed professionals, and if a different fit is needed clients have the option to switch to another therapist. This flexibility and access can make it simpler to start and sustain the work of therapy.
