Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! My name is Betsy Narveson. I know that the thought of talking with a therapist can be uncomfortable, or even downright scary! Going out of your comfort zone is hard, but you can feel good about taking action to start to create the life you want! I hope that, as we get to know each other, you can develop trust in my genuine concern and compassion, and feel safe and supported as we work together toward your goals, whatever they may be.
We’ll work collaboratively, based on your preferences and goals. Beyond ensuring that you feel comfortable working with me, my next priority is for you to feel that our time together is productive, that we are getting steadily closer to what you were seeking when you decided to try talking with a therapist. Therefore, I prefer to use approaches that are evidence-based and solution-focused.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Florida, and my graduate degree there as well, in Marriage and Family Therapy. My work in community mental health as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist has allowed me to work with a wide variety of presenting problems. I have counseled both children and adults, in individual and family contexts. The most common concerns I have dealt with are stress, relationship issues, parenting difficulties, anxiety, family conflicts, coping with life changes, and depression, and youth behavioral troubles. Relationships and parenting issues have always been of particular interest to me, and are even more intriguing to me now that I am married and have two children of my own!
I would love to get to know you and assist you with whatever you are facing!

Betsy Narveson knows that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or even frightening, and she recognizes the courage it takes to seek change. With six years of clinical experience, she aims to help people move toward the life they want by offering steady, compassionate support.
She approaches therapy collaboratively, tailoring sessions to each person’s preferences and goals. To that end, she favors evidence-based, solution-focused methods.
Betsy completed both her undergraduate degree in Psychology and her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Florida. Her background in community mental health as a licensed marriage and family therapist in Florida has provided experience with a broad range of presenting concerns.
She has worked with both children and adults in individual and family settings. The most common issues she has addressed include stress, relationship problems, parenting challenges, anxiety, family conflict, coping with life transitions, depression, and behavioral concerns in youth. Relationships and parenting have been particular areas of interest for her, a focus that is even more meaningful now that she is married and has two children.
Betsy would welcome the opportunity to get to know someone and to help them work through whatever they are facing, offering a judgment-free and practical approach to therapy.
For many of the common concerns people seek help for – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes – online therapy can be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that suits them best – through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch providers if they want a different therapeutic fit. This combination of accessibility and professional care makes online therapy a practical option for many people seeking support.
