Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Missouri Since 1992. I have worked in various settings to include private and state hospitals, and community mental health centers. With these settings, I have had the opportunity to work with chronic mental illness, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, gender identity issues, cultural issues, trauma, life transitions, abandonment, and attachment disorders. I have training in DBT, EMDR, Person Centered, and CBT.
I believe the first time you have a session you begin the healing process. It is your therapy and you lead me where you need to go. I may need at times to help you explore more areas, but only when you are ready. I use a multi-sensory approach along with my other trainings, because words may not always express what needs to be understood. Together skills and insights will be explored that will be useful for your current issue and be able to translate to other concerns.
I hope you decide to start your healing soon and I will be happy to join you in the experience.

Barbara Vincent is a Missouri-based licensed clinical social worker with 15 years of experience supporting people through a wide range of mental health and life challenges. She has worked in private and state hospitals as well as community mental health centers, gaining experience with chronic mental illness, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, gender identity and cultural concerns, attachment and abandonment issues, and other complex presentations.
Her clinical approach draws on training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), person-centered therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Barbara combines these evidence-informed methods with multisensory techniques when appropriate, recognizing that words alone do not always fully capture what needs to be explored.
Barbara regards the first session as the beginning of the healing process and places clients at the center of care – therapy is guided by the client’s priorities while she offers gentle prompts to broaden exploration when the client is ready. Together she works with clients to develop practical skills and deeper insights that address current concerns and transfer to other areas of life.
She is a Missouri-licensed clinical social worker, a credential that reflects advanced clinical training and state authorization to provide therapy (license MO LCSW 003493). Barbara welcomes the opportunity to join people on their path toward healing and growth.
Many people wonder whether online therapy delivers meaningful results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care.
A major benefit of remote therapy is flexibility – clients can choose the connection method that suits them best, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility helps make therapy easier to fit into busy schedules and everyday life.
Therapy offered online is provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they want a different fit. For many people, remote therapy provides a practical and effective way to address everyday mental health concerns while maintaining the convenience of meeting from home or another comfortable setting.
