Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi. My name is Arlene Brett Gordon, Ph.D., and I am licensed in Florida with 25 years of professional work experience as a couple and family therapist. After a career as an early childhood schoolteacher, I became the director of Nova Southeastern University’s Brief Therapy Clinic for 16 years and the university’s Medical Family Therapy Clinic as well.
I retired from teaching therapy to work directly with individual, couples, and families using the strength-based, solution-focused approach to engage clients as collaborators in exploring positive changes possible in their problem saturated stories. I have expertise in helping clients with relationship issues, family conflicts, parenting issues, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I also work with coping facing major life changes. I help my clients work in an open and safe environment where they can explore their strengths and abilities, often ones they have not previously recognized.
Deciding to sign up for therapy is one of the first steps towards positive change. Congratulations on engaging us to join you on this journey.

Dr. Arlene Brett Gordon, Ph.D., is a Florida-licensed marriage and family therapist (FL LMFT MT1727) with 25 years of professional experience in couples and family therapy.
She began her career as an early childhood schoolteacher and later served as director of Nova Southeastern University’s Brief Therapy Clinic for 16 years, and she also directed the university’s Medical Family Therapy Clinic.
After stepping away from teaching therapy, Dr. Gordon returned to direct clinical work with individuals, couples, and families. She practices from a strengths-based, solution-focused perspective and engages clients as collaborators in exploring positive changes within their problem saturated stories.
Her clinical expertise includes relationship concerns, family conflict, parenting challenges, motivation, self-esteem and confidence issues, and helping people cope with major life changes. She creates an open and safe therapeutic space where clients can discover strengths and capabilities they may not have previously recognized.
Deciding to begin therapy is an important first step toward change. Dr. Gordon acknowledges that choice and congratulates those who take it, welcoming clients to join her on that journey.
Many people wonder whether digital therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most situations.
One major benefit is convenience. Clients can connect in the format that best fits their needs – video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to include therapy in a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide these services, and if at any point a client prefers a different therapist, switching to another clinician is an available option.
