Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Greetings and thank you for viewing my profile. I’m Njideka (In-jah-day-ka) Wiggins, a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) located in Wilmington, Delaware
Counseling is my second career, after 26 successful years in corporate America. I have been a practicing therapist, working with children, individuals and families for the past 16 years.
I am a client centered therapist, meaning I believe each client comes to this process with an unique experience and way of being in the world. As such, I have a holistic approach to counseling, pulling from many theories and modalities, but predominately focused on integrating the best of psychodynamic theory (helping my client see and understand their patterns of emotions, thoughts and behaviors) with cognitive behavioral theory (solution-focused methods) and systems theory (how one exists in the larger world) to create lasting, characterlogical change.
I enjoy working with clients that are seeking support to heal from unresolved trauma; mend family and other relational conflicts; manage depression, anxiety and ADHD challenges; navigate life/career cycle issues; overcome caregiver/compassion fatigue and grief. I recognize and respect the courage it takes to embark upon a journey to emotional wellness and I am humbled and honored to bear witness to your walk.
Thank you again, for allowing me the opportunity of your consideration . Should you have any questions about my therapeutic process or how we would work together to achieve your goals, please feel free to ask.

Njideka Wiggins (pronounced In-jah-day-ka) is a licensed mental health counselor based in Wilmington, Delaware. She holds a Delaware Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor credential (DE LPMHC PC-0011057), which indicates her authorization to provide professional counseling in the state.
Counseling is Njideka’s second career after 26 successful years in corporate America. She has practiced as a therapist for 18 years, working with children, individuals, and families to address a range of emotional and relational concerns.
Her work is client-centered and holistic, drawing on multiple theories and techniques. This blend is intended to support lasting, characterological change.
Njideka works with people seeking to heal from unresolved trauma, repair family and other relational conflicts, and manage depression, anxiety, and ADHD. She also supports clients navigating life and career transitions, coping with caregiver and compassion fatigue, and processing grief. Her broader specialties include LGBT concerns, intimacy and relationship issues, parenting challenges, self-esteem work, career difficulties, bipolar disorder support, and coaching.

Many people wonder whether remote counseling really helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and different lifestyles.
Licensed professionals provide these services, and if a different therapeutic fit is needed, clients can switch therapists at any time. Online therapy offers convenient access to professional support while preserving many of the same therapeutic methods used in face-to-face care.
