Hello and welcome! My name is Ann Bevan and I am a licensed clinical social worker here in Louisiana. I completed my graduate training at Tulane where I earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have worked for more than 20 years in the field in several different capacities. Over that period of time, I have met with and supported people facing medical challenges, loss, grief, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties.
I have been described as being a good listener, one who is compassionate, understanding, patient, and respectful. My goal is to provide a safe space where individuals can talk about any topic that is weighing on their hearts or minds. I strive to help individuals move through their challenging times or issues in order to gain a better understanding of themselves, others, and the world.
Over the past 4 years, I have been training in Internal Family Systems, a model that has been found to address and ameliorate a number of issues including anxiety, fear, depressed mood, low self esteem and developmental trauma. I have taken a number of courses through the IFS Institute and am now Level 1 certified. If you are interested in learning more about this type of therapy, which is often referred to as “parts work”, you can see interviews and demos on you tube with the developer, Dr. Richard Schwartz.
Congratulations for reaching out. Should you decide to make an appointment, it will be a privilege to accompany you on your journey.

She has been described as a good listener who is compassionate, understanding, patient, and respectful. Ann aims to offer a safe space where individuals can speak about whatever is weighing on their hearts or minds, and she works to help people move through difficult times to gain clearer understanding of themselves, others, and the world around them.
Ann has trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) over the past four years and holds a Level 1 certification in that model. IFS – often called “parts work” – has been used to address concerns such as anxiety, fear, low mood, low self-esteem, and developmental trauma. She points interested individuals to interviews and demonstrations by IFS developer Dr. Richard Schwartz that are available on YouTube for further context.
Ann is licensed as a clinical social worker in Louisiana, a credential that indicates advanced training and authorization to provide clinical social work services (license: LA LCSW 3961). She recognizes the courage it takes to reach out and considers it a privilege to accompany someone who chooses to begin therapy with her.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and clinical experience indicate that these issues are often well addressed through remote sessions, providing outcomes comparable to face-to-face work.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect with licensed professionals in the format that suits them best: video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to seek help from a preferred environment.
These services are delivered by licensed professionals, and clients may change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. Online therapy offers a convenient way to access qualified care while maintaining many of the therapeutic elements found in traditional settings.
