Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi there! I am so happy you came across my BetterHelp site and are taking steps to take care of your mental health. I am very passionate about providing mental health services and breaking the stigma around taking care of mental health needs. I think it is vital in the therapeutic process to feel comfortable with your therapist and I wanted to share about myself so you can see if I might be a good fit for you. My name is Andrea Kay and I have my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler. I have been a counselor in Texas since 2016 and have worked in a variety of settings and with many different populations. I’ve counseled in crisis centers working with people in their lowest battles of depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. I’ve counseled kids, teens and families at a community counseling center to work on improving communication, setting healthy boundaries and creating healthy home environments. I’ve counseled adults through a range of life experiences from general anxiety, transitions, loss, depression and low self-esteem and I also enjoy working with anyone looking to focus on general self growth regardless of having a specific area of concern.
My approach is to listen and understand your experiences and collaborate with you to set goals and work toward a more desirable situation. There are a lot of things that we can not control in our lives which is important to acknowledge, and there are also things we can control like our approach, outlook and perspective on our situations. Using an eclectic approach combining cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy and person centered techniques we will work together toward your goals and overall improvement in your mental health.
I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you and be well!

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For most common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit of remote care is flexibility. Individuals can meet with a therapist in the format that fits their life best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – making it easier to attend sessions around work, family, and other commitments.
These services are delivered by licensed professionals, and if someone decides they would prefer a different therapeutic fit, switching therapists remains an available option.
