Amy Norberg is a licensed professional counselor practicing in West Virginia with 13 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked across a range of clinical settings, providing care in both inpatient and outpatient environments for adults and children.
Her clinical work has included clients as young as five and as old as eighty-three, giving her broad experience with developmental and adult concerns. She also welcomes veterans and draws on eight years of service in the U.S. Army, during which she traveled throughout the United States and abroad and encountered a variety of cultures and customs.
Amy approaches therapy with a professional yet warm attitude and is enthusiastic about supporting people through self-discovery and change. Even if a person chooses a different clinician, she hopes they find the right therapeutic fit to meet their needs.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is convenience. Clients can connect with therapists in the format that best suits them – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
All therapists offering these services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they would like a different fit.
