Amy Gatch is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in both North Carolina and South Carolina and is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She brings 16 years of experience supporting children, young adults, and families with a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, relationship and parenting challenges, self-esteem, ADHD, family conflict, grief, intimacy-related issues, anger management, depression, and coping with life changes.
Her background includes work in both school and clinical settings, which she considers an asset when collaborating with clients and their families. Originally from the Midwest, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago, and she has lived in the Carolinas for the past 15 years.
Amy aims to support each person’s journey by offering a listening presence along with practical tools and insights to help reach attainable goals. In therapy she focuses on building a trusting working relationship, taking time to understand each person’s situation, and setting realistic, achievable objectives. She approaches life as a series of problems to solve and lessons to learn, while also emphasizing the importance of enjoying meaningful experiences along the way.
