Aliya Mullins

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

My name is Aliya. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Through my 10+ years as a professional counselor I’ve worked with victims of trauma, persons with addictions, and individuals who have struggled with life-long anxiety and depression. My experience has taught me that every problem has a solution. I work with my clients to empower and enlighten. Whether through individual therapy, family therapy, couples counseling, or group therapy we tackle each challenge with a sense of purpose and hope that tomorrow is destined to be better than today.
I use a CBT based approach mixed with strengths based, solution focused, and motivational interviewing techniques to help client reach their goals. I’ve found that the biggest challenge for clients is realizing that they can go through and overcome the challenges of life with peace and joy!
Lastly, I believe that exercise can be a key factor in emotional health as well as physical well-being. I encourage clients’ to explore ways to be better to their bodies as this can also be a gateway to having a better life.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. A major benefit is flexibility – individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that best fits their routine and comfort level, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to maintain consistent care. Sessions are conducted by licensed professionals and therapists, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel another fit would be better. For many people, online therapy provides a practical and accessible way to pursue emotional well-being while balancing everyday responsibilities.
