During my four years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work with adolescents and adults’ in a variety of settings, including an inpatient behavioral healthcare facility, a county juvenile detention center, post graduate classrooms, and nonprofit community organizations. I have counseled clients with a wide range of concerns, such as anxiety, stress, and anger management; premarital and marital issues; grief and loss; career difficulties; family issues and conflicts; and blended families.
In counseling, I take a person centered, integrated approach, using evidence based techniques and providing feedback suitable to your needs and goals. I tend to utilize CBT (cognitive- behavioral therapy); narrative therapy, and solution focused therapy. I am collaborative in developing treatment goals and plans, believing my client’s self knowledge and experience are essential in the counseling process to addressing concerns and issues. I desire to provide a safe, warm, respectful, and professional environment that results in a positive experience for my clients.
