Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 20 years in the mental health field. I received my M.S. in counseling and community mental health in 2013 and my licensure in 2017. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, parenting problems, trauma, anger management and ADHD. I have worked with children, families and adults.
My counseling style is honest and compassionate. I believe in treating people with respect and compassion and also challenging them to take responsibility for their own life circumstances. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution focused therapeutic techniques. I also am a regular practitioner of mindfulness and infuse this into all my work.
It takes courage to take steps to make positive changes in your life. It also take patience and self acceptance to recognize that the life you are living right now is the perfect place and time to begin or return to self reflective work. I believe that taking an approach that balances these seemingly contradictory (paradoxical) ideas can yield a rich and fulfilling life. It would be my honor to join you in this journey.
I look forward to working with you!
