Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! My name is Audrey Burke-Wardlaw. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 25 years of experience. I have provided counseling support to a diverse population to include youth, individuals, groups and couples. With counseling experience that spans almost 3 decades, I have been able to help clients cope with an ever changing world. Areas that I have provided counseling support includes depression, anger, grief, trauma, anxiety, phobias, and self concept and self esteem. I have worked in the mental health clinical arena, outpatient community arena, hospital in-patient arena, and in the home. I utilize a myriad of techniques and approaches in the support of clients. The technique and/or approach that I use is driven by the needs of the individual. I do not use the “cookie cutter” approach to counseling with my clients because every person is different and what might work for one, will not work for another. I stay current with new and innovative counseling approaches to better serve my client. I utilize the life span approach that enables me to provide services for all age groups. I utilize a multi-cultural approach to providing counseling in order to meet needs of a diverse population.
My counseling style includes trust, respect, and unconditional positive regard for every client no matter what their issue might be. I practice confidentiality and privacy to maintain an effective therapeutic relationship. I do not make assumptions when providing counseling but rather I depend on the client to express their issues from their point of view without judgement. The client is the expert when it comes to their life and each client is unique. I meet clients where they are with empathy and commitment.
I look forward to working with you and remember, I am here for you!
