Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi! My name is Rob Lieberman and I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with my MSW, I moved back to my native Ohio to begin my career. I have over 19 years of experience working with clients ages 6- 15 and their families who have significant mental and behavioral health issues. During this time, I have worked with clients who have issues with impulse control, anger management, coping skills, interpersonal relationship, defiance and oppositional behavior, grief and loss, and self esteem. My work has been in both group and individual settings with clients who are primarily from low income households.
When working with my clients, I feel it’s important and necessary to start where they are. Everyone is different with varying needs and deserves to be treated as such.. I also believe it important to be realistic in expectations for counseling and working with the client about how to reach obtainable goals. In terms of what to expect in working with me, I am a kind and patient person who takes a genuine interest in my clients’ wellbeing. Seeing others make their desired changes is very fulfilling to me. I believe anyone can face challenges in their lives and have the need for support and guidance. Each person experiences events in their own way and the feelings associated with those are valid. It is my hope to be able to provide the aforementioned support and guidance to make managing those challenges and stressors easier. I know it’s not easy to seek help and I acknowledge the importance of taking the first step to do so. In working with you, I seek to support that and look forward to working with you to make the changes you desire. I’m open to any questions you have and and will do my best to answer them honestly.
