She is a mother of three, a grandmother to four, and a great-grandmother to four children. She does not tell clients how to live their lives but offers practical support and tools to help them reach their goals. She works collaboratively with clients as a team member, helping to clarify objectives and outline the steps needed to achieve them. Therapy progresses at the client’s pace and is tailored to individual goals.
Theresa integrates a range of evidence-based interventions depending on treatment needs, including short-term solution-focused approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), mindfulness techniques, and motivational interviewing. She welcomes the opportunity to support people as they work toward recovery and greater well-being.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people.
An important benefit of online therapy is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable – through video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or messaging within the app – making it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Each therapist involved in online services is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to change therapists if they need a different fit. This structure supports continuity of care while allowing people to find the therapeutic relationship that works best for them.
