Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
With knowledge of integrating different modalities my speciality is tailoring therapy to each client. Applying a humanistic approach to build the trusting therapeutic relationship, then integrating CBT, psychoeducation and creative outlets to ensure that the sessions suit each clients needs.
The clients I have seen often find they do not feel connected with who they are anymore, or perhaps never really knew. They might have left an abusive situation, or be unsure how they feel about their current routine. Some have had children and lost some of their identity since gaining the title of ‘parent.’ This can leave people feeling anxious, depressed or scared of the future. I have history of seeing both male and female survivors of Domestic Abuse, Postnatal Depression for all parents and a lack of self worth. I also have experience with chronic illnesses, disabilities and working with those who have health considerations.
I myself have experienced periods of difficulty, including an abusive relationship and postnatal depression. This means that I know how effective good counselling can be. I also understand how hard the first step in asking for help can be, so I aim to be as welcoming and reassuring as possible from the moment you take that first step.
As an accredited member of the NCPS I work within their ethical framework to ensure that each and every conversation and session is with your wellbeing in mind.
If you can relate to any of the above, or feel as though we may be a good fit, send me a message and let me help you on your wellbeing journey.

Megan Flanagan is a United Kingdom-based therapist with three years of experience who specialises in trauma and abuse, parenting, self-esteem, depression, and coping with life changes. She is a female, non-religious practitioner and an accredited member of the NCPS, working within its ethical framework to ensure that every conversation and session is conducted with client wellbeing in mind.
Her practice is built around a humanistic foundation to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship, then tailored to each person by integrating cognitive behavioural therapy, psychoeducation and creative outlets. This flexible blend of approaches allows sessions to be adapted to individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.
Many people who seek her support feel disconnected from their sense of self, or have never been sure who they are. Some have left abusive situations or are uncertain about how they feel regarding their current routine. Others have become parents and notice a loss of identity after taking on the title of parent, which can contribute to anxiety, depression or fear about the future. She has experience working with both male and female survivors of domestic abuse, parents experiencing postnatal depression, people struggling with low self-worth, and those managing chronic illnesses, disabilities or other health considerations.
Megan has personally experienced periods of difficulty, including an abusive relationship and postnatal depression, and she draws on that lived experience to understand how valuable effective counselling can be. She recognises how hard it can be to make the first contact, and aims to be welcoming and reassuring from the moment someone reaches out.
If any of the above resonates and you think you might be a good fit, you can send Megan a message to begin discussing support for your wellbeing journey.
