Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a qualified integrated Therapist and member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) with over 10 years of experience in working therapeutically with adults, adolescents and children. As a mum and a wife, a daughter and granddaughter I am aware that life can feel shaky at times and can make you want to hide. You have shown courage as you feel ready and have made the decision that it is time to return to life and start living it again.
I provide an integrative approach to therapy which brings together different styles of therapy CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Solution Focussed Transactional Analysis and Psychodynamic allowing a tailored approach to meet the needs of the client in there own individual way. Working creatively can be beneficial to Adults, Adolescents and Children allowing you to express emotion that we can keep hidden inside of us or as an adult your inner child.
Confidentiality and trust within a relationship is important and allows you to feel comfortable to be who you are on your journey through therapy without fear of judgement.
As an experienced integrative therapist my role is to support you through your challenges, we are all unique and my therapy approach will be based on your needs. I want you to feel comfortable being who you are and to have the confidence to embrace your life. So often you cannot change the things in your past, or what is happening to you right now. However, you can relate differently to those events, and you can make positive decisions about your future.
The first session is the beginning of your journey where we meet; allowing a relationship of trust to grow. It also the time we gather information that will support you better within your life. Talking about areas in your life that have made the biggest impact upon you; can provide space and a calmness knowing you have said the words out loud.
Working at the pace that feels right for you, I walk the journey with you supporting you through the healing process providing space necessary for you to be; you and know who you are. Growth is part of the therapeutic process; and having a greater understanding of you enables you to make different choices enhancing your life and wellbeing.

Rachel Kilburn is a qualified integrative therapist and a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), with over 10 years of experience working therapeutically with adults, adolescents and children. As a mum, wife, daughter and granddaughter she recognises how life can feel unstable at times and how that can make a person want to withdraw. She values the courage it takes to decide to re-engage with life.
Her practice draws on an integrative approach that combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focussed work, Transactional Analysis and psychodynamic methods – blending these styles to meet each person’s individual needs. Creative ways of working are also used to help adults, adolescents and children express emotions that are sometimes kept inside, and to access the inner child for additional healing.
Trust and confidentiality within the therapeutic relationship are important to Rachel and help people feel able to be themselves without fear of judgement. As an experienced practitioner, her role is to support individuals through their challenges, tailoring therapy to the uniqueness of each person so they can find the confidence to embrace life.
She emphasises that while the past or current circumstances cannot always be changed, it is possible to relate differently to those events and to make positive decisions about the future. The first session is the beginning of that journey – a meeting where a relationship of trust can start to grow and where information is gathered to better support the person in their life.
Working at a pace that feels right for the individual, Rachel accompanies people through the healing process, offering the space needed to discover and be themselves. Growth is part of therapy, and gaining a clearer understanding of oneself enables different choices that enhance wellbeing and quality of life.
She can help with abuse, anxiety, autism spectrum, bereavement, depression, health related issues, identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, loss, redundancy, self-esteem, self-harm, sexuality, stress, trauma, women’s issues and work related issues.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – individuals can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care.
Therapists who provide online sessions are licensed professionals, and if someone decides they would prefer a different therapeutic fit, it is usually possible to switch to another therapist. For many people, online therapy offers a practical and effective route to support and progress.
