Tori Tucker

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hello, my name is Dr. Tori Tucker, and have three years of experience as a therapist based in Texas. Most of the people I work with come to our first session struggling with depression, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed by their efforts to overcome substance use. When you are overwhelmed and/or anxious, thinking clearly, making decisions, and staying focused on daily tasks can be challenging. Sometimes, we don’t even realize we are overwhelmed and/or anxious until our bodies start showing signs such as fatigue, irritability, or difficulty sleeping. Therefore, there is a fine line between saying that we are okay and actually feeling okay. We all experience being stressed and/or anxious, so it is no wonder it sometimes feels like we are carrying the world’s weight on our shoulders. It is hard to admit, but sometimes it is part of being human, and it is okay to feel that way. You’re not alone in this journey, and I genuinely want to support you. Luckily, with a PhD in Rehabilitation Counseling, these things don’t feel out of my league- in fact, they’re exactly what I know how to handle. During our sessions, we will work together to figure out what’s going on and develop practical tools to help you feel more like yourself again. My goal is to help you build confidence, navigate challenges, and create healthier relationships with yourself and others. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use, or a big life change, I’ll tailor our sessions to your needs so you can find real relief and growth.

My therapeutic approach is tailored to the unique needs of each client I work with. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, as these modalities help create a shared understanding of the client’s experiences. This foundation allows us to work together in developing a path forward that aligns with their goals and fosters meaningful growth.

My approach resonates well with young adults who are navigating life’s challenges and social pressures. These experiences often bring feelings of anxiety, depression, and stress, and I strive to be a steady source of support during these times. My goal is to help my clients navigate these changes with confidence, develop practical coping skills, and build a more positive outlook on life. Seeing them grow in self-esteem and resilience is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

My communication style is calm, adaptable, and warm, which helps me create a nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard. I strive to foster a safe and supportive atmosphere by actively listening and engaging with each person in a way that meets them where they are. My goal is to ensure that every client feels comfortable opening up and exploring their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Online therapy can make a meaningful difference for many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes. For those issues, virtual sessions are often as effective as traditional in-person therapy.

A major advantage is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their needs and schedule, whether that means video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility helps make therapy more accessible and easier to fit into daily life.

Licensed professionals provide these services, and clients may switch therapists if they want a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers a practical and approachable option to pursue support and personal growth.
