Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi, I’m Gareth an integrative therapist with 3 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, coping with grief, coping with loss, career difficulties, & depression. I trained with Cruse Bereavment Care and with the homeless charity Depaul before moving into counselling full time.
In my therapy I use person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques so that we can work together to help you achieve your therapy goals. I tailor my approach to each individual client as all of you are unique and everybody has different needs and requirements.
I have been a client seeking therapy in the past and so I know how daunting making that first step can be, but I am here to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I see my job as to get you were you want to be, you will always be in control of how and when the sessions take place, and I will work with you to establish your therapy goals so that we can move forward together in s suppotive and collaborative way.

Gareth Barnes is an integrative therapist with 3 years of professional experience who supports people dealing with stress, anxiety, grief and loss, career difficulties, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, and coping with life changes.
He trained with Cruse Bereavement Care and with the homeless charity Depaul before moving into counselling full time. Gareth draws on person-centered and cognitive behavioural therapy approaches to work with each person according to their individual needs.
Having been a therapy client himself, he understands how daunting taking the first step can be and aims to create an open, non-judgemental space where thoughts and feelings can be explored safely. As an older male therapist, he tailors his approach to each client and works collaboratively to set therapy goals.
Clients remain in control of how and when sessions take place, and Gareth works alongside them to help move forward in a supportive and collaborative way.
For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as in-person sessions. It can be a practical option when dealing with everyday mental health needs.
One major benefit is flexibility – people can connect in the way that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapists offering these services are licensed professionals, and if a different fit is needed, it is possible to switch to another therapist at any time. Online therapy can therefore provide effective support with convenience and options that match a person’s preferences.
