Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Greetings,
I will start by saying thank you for taking the first step in becoming a better version of you!! I would welcome the opportunity in assisting you in making that happen.
My name is Tashima Kinney, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) which I obtained in 2007. I have over 20 years of experience working with kids, families, and adults in various capacities. I obtained my BA in Psychology from Chicago State University and my Master of Education from the University of M0-St. Louis. I have attended numerous trainings over the years, i.e. (Mental Health 1st Aid, Trauma Informed Care, Managing Children with Problem Sexual Behaviors, etc), that have assisted me in meeting the needs of those I have worked with.
I draw from various therapeutic modalities as each person represents their own set of areas to work on. My philosophy throughout my career has been to think outside the box. This has allowed many clients to be successful by reflecting on what was, is, and where they want to be in the future. I look forward to working with you to assist you in achieving your goals.

Many people wonder whether remote counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most individuals.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the communication method that works best for them, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to access care from different locations.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they need a different fit. For many people facing everyday mental health concerns, online therapy offers an effective and convenient way to engage in meaningful work toward their goals.
