Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
It was never a question for me what I would do with my life nor was it surprising to my family and friends when I chose this professional path for myself. I have a warmth, compassion, and natural tendency to empathy that led me directly into the mental health profession. My name is Jessica and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania hoping to help you achieve the change you wish to see in yourself. Researching a therapist and a variety of counseling services in the area already shows me that you are willing to take accountability for your mental health and take the next step into a healthier version of you. Whether you are a teen or adult; I have had experience working with and around all populations as well as with a variety of diagnoses and struggles including depression, anxiety, ADHD, Mood Disorders, Bipolar, self-esteem, PTSD, grief and loss, behavioral problems, attachment issues, and IDD. Through my work in outpatient, residential, and community-based services I have strived to provide strengths based and person-centered psychotherapy for a complex array of diagnoses. My work has been intensive and has prepared me to gain a better understanding of how to individualize treatment based on the needs of the client. I have worked from a trauma focused perspective with many clients and have a strong background in trauma work, I think it is so important to recognize perspective and to empower clients by asking questions like “what happened to you?” as opposed to “what is wrong with you?”.
I attained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University and almost immediately began work in my Master’s program. I completed my Master of Education in School Counseling from Kutztown University Licensure track so that I could continue in my pursuit to helping others in a multitude of settings
Life is a series of choices. Researching therapy options and joining with a therapist is a choice. It is a positive choice that can only lead to growth and furthering your potential. I look forward to empowering you to be your own voice, to recognize what is possible, and to know the power that lies in the choices you make for yourself everyday.
