Christina Stakely aims to help people find clearer ways to express who they are and to support growth within families and other systems that shape their lives. She works to guide clients in building stronger intuition, forming healthier connections, and moving toward a more authentic sense of self.
Christina hopes clients come away with greater peace and more moments of joy in daily life. She has a particular interest in working with service members and veterans and their families, with adults navigating infertility, and with men and women who have experienced sexual trauma.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist practicing in North Carolina with 18 years of experience, Christina blends several evidence-informed approaches to meet her clients where they are. Her methods include mindfulness practices, cognitive-behavioral therapies, attachment-focused work, and systems-oriented therapy. She also has training in trauma protocol therapies and in expressive arts therapy.
Christina’s goal is to help clients reach the objectives they bring to therapy and to support meaningful change that extends beyond the therapy office.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions – online therapy has been found to provide results comparable to traditional in-person sessions. This makes virtual care a practical option for addressing everyday mental health needs.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can meet with a therapist in the format that fits their life best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which can make it easier to keep therapy consistent.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch providers if they are seeking a different fit. Online therapy can be a convenient way to access trained therapists while maintaining the same focus on progress and wellbeing as in-person care.
