Amy Vann

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I am licensed in Tennessee with almost 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, anger management, & depression as well as numerous other issues. I have worked in private practice and a county detention facility while living in Colorado and most recently community mental health in Tennessee. I graduated from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky with two master degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Addictions Counseling.

After growing up in East Tennessee, I spent 10 years in Kentucky and 3 years in the rocky mountains of Colorado. While I feel blessed to have had those experiences, I am excited to be “back home” in the volunteer state. As well as a wife, stepmom (bonus mom), grandmother (aka Mims), and dog mom to Cooper (golden retriever), Josie (labradoodle), and Finnegan (pup of Cooper and Josie), I am also a daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend. In my spare time, I love traveling, hiking, reading, watching movies, attending sporting events, and trying new foods!

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support and encourage you in that process.

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can make a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life changes, online therapy has been demonstrated to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.

One major benefit is the flexibility it offers. Individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes fitting therapy into a busy schedule easier.

All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients can request a different therapist at any time if they feel a different fit would be better. This adaptability helps people find the right match and make consistent progress toward their goals.
