Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, I’m Joe,
I became a counsellor as I wanted to provide a down-to-earth, practical counselling service; whatever your background, history and life circumstances happens to be.
I’m probably not your stereotypical therapist – in that I’ve spent most of my working life so far on building sites, and in my down time I’m interested in strength athletics and rock n roll. But it’s these kinds of things (as well as many others) that make me the person that I am; and it’s important for you to know a bit about me if you’re going to trust me enough to share about yourself.
I’m professionally trained as a Humanistic Integrative counsellor. What this basically means is that I have been trained in a variety of approaches to counselling, where the model that best suits you can be used. As we are all so unique as individuals, I don’t believe there can be a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to counselling; so I find it beneficial to tailor my counselling approach to each individual I’m working with to best meet their needs.
I believe that we can all greatly benefit from taking time to work on our mental health – whether that be working through some challenging life ‘stuff’ that has come our way, or taking focused time to plan and grow in our professional or personal life.

Joe Sibley became a counsellor to offer a down-to-earth, practical counselling service to people from any background, history, or life circumstance.
He is not a stereotypical therapist – much of his working life has been spent on building sites, and in his spare time he pursues strength athletics and enjoys rock n roll. These interests and experiences form part of who he is, and he believes it is important for clients to know something about him when choosing to share personal matters.
He is professionally trained as a Humanistic Integrative counsellor, which means he has training across a range of therapeutic approaches and tailors the model used to fit each individual. Joe does not follow a one-size-fits-all method and adapts his approach to meet the needs of the people he works with.
Based in the United Kingdom, he has 6 years of experience and encourages people to invest time in their mental health – whether that means working through challenging life events or taking focused time to plan and grow personally or professionally.
People often wonder whether online therapy can make a meaningful difference. For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the key advantages is flexibility – individuals can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility helps make therapy easier to fit into everyday life.
Therapists who provide online care are licensed professionals, and clients may switch therapists at any time if they would prefer a different fit. For a wide range of everyday mental health needs, online therapy offers an accessible way to engage with consistent professional support.
